The ceremony capped a week of special investiture events that celebrated both Mnookin’s ascendency to the chancellorship and the university’s history of curiosity-driven yet revolutionary research, esteemed public service and teaching excellence.
Wrapping up a week of events related to Mnookin’s investiture, the picnic was a lively campus celebration complete with free food, live music performances and poetry readings from students.
“I feel enormously grateful to be here, but this day and this celebration, are really not about me. They’re about us, and a university grown from a deep-rooted commitment to making a genuine and positive difference across Wisconsin, our country, and the globe,” Mnookin said.
