After a long winter in storage, the colorful sunburst chairs returned to the Memorial Union Terrace Thursday. Just add some real sunshine, and let the studying and socializing begin.

Campus dining spots going receipt-free
Beginning this semester, University Housing’s cash registers no longer automatically print receipts for every transaction. The Wisconsin Union is following suit, testing a similar change at select locations that should roll out across campus next week.
Terrace renovation presents opportunity to enjoy other Union spots
This fall brings a chance to find a new cozy spot at the Memorial Union while some old favorites close for renovations. Part of the Terrace will close Sept. 1 for its first significant upgrade in two decades, part of the final phases of the Memorial Union Reinvestment project, which began in 2014. It’s slated to reopen early next summer.
