The report proposes a history project that gives voice to those who experienced and challenged prejudice on campus, and a further commitment to current programs to increase diversity and create a more equitable campus community.

A search and screen committee has recommended three finalists for the new position of vice chancellor for student affairs at UW–Madison. All three candidates will be visiting campus in the weeks ahead to give public presentations and meet with members of the campus community.

Shain, who advanced the university’s interests in China and established University Research Park, died peacefully in Madison after a brief illness. He was 92.

The university pledges to cover four years of tuition and segregated fees for any incoming freshman from Wisconsin whose family’s annual household adjusted gross income is $56,000 or less, roughly the median family income in Wisconsin.
The five-day immersive tour helps UW–Madison faculty and academic staff engage with Wisconsinites, build relationships, and learn about the educational, industrial, social and political realities of the state.
The 2017-2019 state budget provided the university with the authority and funding to proceed with the pay increases, which are subject to approval by the state legislature's Joint Committee on Employment Relations.
