Two listening sessions slated for VCRGE search

The committee leading the search for a new vice chancellor for research and graduate education has set two listening sessions for the campus community. The meetings, open to all faculty, staff and students, are intended to gather ideas and suggestions regarding leadership of the UW–Madison research enterprise.

The first session is slated for Friday, Sept. 28, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Memorial Union. The second is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 2, from noon to 1 p.m. at  Union South. Check the building monitors the day of the session for room number. Employees may attend the sessions in pay status, with supervisor permission, if the presentations fall during normal work hours.

The search for a new UW–Madison vice chancellor for research and graduate education was publicly launched Sept. 13 and is being led by a committee charged by Chancellor Rebecca Blank and chaired by kinesiology Professor Dorothy Farrar-Edwards.
