UW–Madison postpones May commencement ceremonies
Chancellor Rebecca Blank announced today that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university will not hold in-person commencement ceremonies May 8 and 9, instead offering a virtual ceremony with plans to hold an in-person event at a later date.

I am writing to tell you that we have made the very difficult decision to postpone our spring commencement ceremonies at Camp Randall and the Kohl Center, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have also recorded a video message to the members of the Class of 2020.
Important move-out updates for residents
We urge you to sign up as soon as possible to remove your belongings if you are able to do so. In consultation with our campus health officials, we will be expanding our options for move-out this weekend. Additionally, based on their guidance, we are no longer limiting move-out for students who are coming from states designated as having community transmission.
