Website redesign makes human resources information more accessible
All UW–Madison employees are affected by human resources topics such as pay, health benefits, time off, and saving for the future. A redesign of the UW–Madison Office of Human Resources website is now providing information on these topics and more in a user-friendly format.
Upcoming survey to assess employee preferences regarding benefits programs
On Nov. 26, UW–Madison will issue a survey to employees that will solicit feedback on employee benefits programs, including satisfaction levels with the current offerings and ideas for future enhancements.

Upcoming Wellness Symposium enhances well-being on campus
“A Day of Resilience and Well-Being” is the theme of the upcoming Wellness Symposium, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 23, 8 a.m.–2:30 p.m. at Union South. The event invites UW–Madison faculty, staff and students to take some time for self-care, enhance their energy and engagement, and connect with their best selves.
Employee input will be needed for upcoming steps in title and compensation project
Work is continuing on the Title and Total Compensation (TTC) Project. Progress has been made on building the job framework, creation of standard job descriptions, and preliminary review of benchmark market data for UW positions.
Insurance coverage of transgender surgery to be reinstated
The decision by the Group Insurance Board removes the exclusion for transgender services. These benefits will now be determined by medical necessity, consistent with other parts of Uniform Benefits.
