Union buildings extend hours during finals week
The Wisconsin Union has extended operating hours during final exams week for students seeking places to study. Daily Scoop in Memorial Union and Quick Byte in Union South will also stay open late.
WUD Art Committee hosts 80th annual student art show

Collaboration key to Union Theater’s success
Ralph Russo, cultural arts director of the Wisconsin Unions and Union Theater director, says that the magic experienced at the Union Theater is the result of a collaborative process: “We are not an ‘I’ organization; we’re a team. At the theater, students drive the programming and the staff works to support that. This arrangement is unique in higher education. Usually, campus performing arts facilities are not connected to campus/student unions.”

Sale showcases student potential, affordable art
The Wisconsin Union’s ties to the art world include a legacy of support for UW–Madison’s student artists, with much of the work displayed in each union building coming from students. This support, however, isn’t limited to just displaying art: the Wisconsin Union Directorate Art Committee also organizes an annual student art sale, offering students a chance to price and sell their work to the public.
