Rate adjustments will help cover rising costs, like the upkeep of aging lots and parking structures and construction of new parking facilities.
Visitors can use this system to pay for parking by phone, on the web, or by using a mobile application. Converted parking meter locations will no longer accept coins.
This weekend will be especially busy at UW-Madison with commencement and move-out at residence halls.
All parking rates will remain unchanged for the 2015-16 permit year, effective Sept. 1, 2015, through Aug. 31, 2016.
The bulk of more than 7,400 UW-Madison students will be moving into the university residence halls Wednesday, Aug. 27, and Thursday, Aug. 28. Students are welcome to move in any time after 8 a.m. on their assigned move-in day.
