Three deans up for 5-year reviews
Every five years of their tenure, deans of the university’s schools and colleges undergo a university review to assess their academic and administrative leadership and performance in such areas as external relations and resource management. Everett Mitchell receives award for community impact

In recognition of his work advancing civil rights, justice and compassion, the board of the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute (CHHI) has voted unanimously to present him with its Difference Maker Award. Norman Drinkwater, a UW–Madison professor of oncology, and Jan Greenberg, a UW–Madison professor of social work, have been named associate vice chancellors in the Office of Research and Graduate Education.
