Spring Career and Internship Fair set for Jan. 25

January 20, 2011

Defying the flagging economy, a mix of corporations, non-profits, and government agencies will converge on the Kohl Center for the semester’s largest career fair Tuesday, Jan. 25.

More than 150 organizations will be represented at the event between 4:30-8 p.m., with all UW–Madison students and alumni welcome to network with companies — both national and regional — looking to hire full-time workers, interns, and volunteers.

The annual Spring Career and Internship Fair represents the allied efforts of several schools and colleges on campus, including Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS), Business, Letters and Science, Human Ecology, and the Wisconsin Alumni Association.

“The continued collaboration is just one way that the various career services units on campus are doing our best to pool resources,” says Maria McGinnis, career advisor with CALS. “The partners are very proud to work together to offer students and employers the chance to experience a wider variety of opportunities.”
