Sessions set to prepare for reaccreditation visit

Every 10 years the university must be reaccredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The next site visit will be in April 2009.

The university is required to conduct a self-study and demonstrate that it meets a set of criteria for reaccreditation. The process will look back at what has accomplished during the past 10 years and create a vision for the next 10 years.

Sessions have been scheduled to identify themes for further study. Sessions have been designated by division/administrative unit, but anyone can attend any session. Scheduled times are:

  • Monday, May 14, 1:30–2:30 p.m., Red Gym, On Wisconsin Room (arts and humanities)
  • Tuesday, May 15, 1:30–2:30 p.m., Room 2006 Rennebohm (biological sciences)
  • Wednesday, May 16, 11 a.m.–noon, Room 10 Agricultural Hall (biological sciences)
  • Thursday, May 17, 2–3 p.m., Room 1106/1108, 21 N. Park St. (administrative units)
  • Tuesday, May 22, noon–1 p.m., Room 911 Van Vleck (social studies)
  • Wednesday, May 23, noon–1 p.m., Union South (TITU) (physical sciences)
  • Wednesday, May 23, noon–1 p.m., Room 260 Bascom (academic administrative units).
