Photo gallery Seminar strengthens ties between UW-Madison and fellow Wisconsinites

May 24, 2017

You can’t see everything Wisconsin has to offer in only five days. But in that time you can get a glimpse of the state’s incredible people, places, businesses and organizations.

That is one of the goals of the Wisconsin Idea Seminar, a weeklong tour of Wisconsin that introduces 38 UW–Madison faculty and staff members to ways in which the Wisconsin Idea is in action across the state, while also creating opportunities for building on that tradition.

From Ho-Chunk cultural landscapes in Madison to a rural medical clinic in La Farge, spanning a paper lab in Stevens Point to a 6th generation farm in Fond du Lac — the Wisconsin Idea Seminar’s 2017 “River Tour” attendees traversed 18 locations that gave insights into culture, history, industry, agriculture and recreation in Wisconsin.
