Regular dining hours to resume at University Housing

August 26, 2016

University Housing’s six dining markets soon will return to regular service for the fall semester, beginning with transitional hours at all locations Aug. 28 through Labor Day, followed by regular academic year hours starting Sept. 6.

This fall, customers will see added variety and new recipes, including new specialty sandwiches, weekly fresh fish options, more grab-and-go items and new specialty pizzas. Liz’s Market in Waters Residence Hall will now offer added weekend hours, and Rheta’s Market in Chadbourne Residence Hall will offer a new Sunday brunch special.

Also, more University Housing dining locations will be going cashless, in an effort to keep cashier lines moving quickly and reduce waiting. After last year’s successful cashless pilot at Liz’s Market, the program will expand to include Carson’s Market, Newell’s Deli, and Rheta’s Market, where accepted forms of payment will be Wiscard, Visa, Discover, and MasterCard. Gordon Avenue Market and Four Lakes Market will continue to accept cash.

All locations are open to the public, including faculty and staff, and employees get a 5 percent discount when paying with a Wiscard. For locations and operating hours, visit http://www.housing.wisc.edu/dining-locations.htm.
