Communications research showcased at UW-Madison conference

Cutting-edge graduate student research in communications will be highlighted during a one-day conference at the University of Wisconsin–Madison on Friday, April 4.

"Communications Crossroads: A Multidisciplinary Graduate Student Conference" will feature the works of students from eight departments across UW–Madison from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Nafizger Conference Room at Vilas Hall, 821 University Ave. It is free and open to the public.

Session topics include viewer responses to international crisis news coverage; politics and discussion; YouTube and popular culture; the Cherokee Nation Freedom of Information Act; and extremist media in the war on terror.
