Barbara Ehrenreich visits campus

Noted writer, essayist and wit Barbara Ehrenreich will lecture on campus Oct. 18 and 21.

Ehrenreich will talk about “Carnival, Revolutions and Revivals: the Lost Tradition of Collective Ecstasy,” Monday, Oct. 18 at 3:30 p.m. in 272 Bascom Hall.

On Thursday, Oct. 21, she will discuss “Nickled and Dimed: Low-Wage Work in America,” also at 3:30 p.m. in 272 Bascom Hall.

Both events are part of the Havens Center Visiting Scholars series.

Ehrenreich contributes regularly to The Nation magazine. In addition, Ehrenreich also writes for The New York Times Magazine, The Washington Post, Esquire, The Atlantic Monthly, Harper’s, Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, TV Guide and more.

Not limiting her appearances to print, she has appeared on “Good Morning America,” “Nightline,” Today,” “Crossfire,” “All Things Considered” and other programs.
