Roundtable announces events

University Roundtable has announced its schedule for this spring.

On Wednesday, Feb. 8, Jonathan Foley of the Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies will speak about “Living on a Shrinking World: The Challenges for Global Sustainability.”

On Wednesday, March 8, Cecilia Ford of the Department of English will speak about “The Extraordinary Precision of Ordinary Talk: A Linguist’s Perspective on Social Interactions.”

On Wednesday, April 12, Chancellor John Wiley will speak about “Still Tangled Up in Red.”

Buffet lunches begin at 11:45 a.m. in Tripp Commons at the Memorial Union. The cost is $9 per person, or a three-luncheon series price of $25 if paid in full by Wednesday, Feb. 1. Reservations are required, with a reservation deadline of one week prior to each event. Roundtable lunches are open to all members of the university community and their guests.
