November 26, 2018

The marching band’s Fifth Quarter performance after Saturday’s football game at Camp Randall had the usual singing, dancing and clapping, but there was an extra element this time: Tears. It was marching band director Michael Leckrone’s final home football game after 50 years, and many in the crowd and band wished him goodbye. Leckrone gave them what they wanted: A lively performance, plenty of fun and a sharp polka step.
