UW historian’s interview with PBS canceled

November 7, 2008

Airline flight delays led to cancelation of an interview with William (Will) Jones, an associate professor of history at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, on the PBS television series “Bill Moyers Journal” tonight.

Jones specializes in 20th century America, with a particular emphasis on race, class and work. He and Columbia University history professor Eric Foner, who specializes in political and African-American history, were to speak with Moyers about the historic implications of Barack Obama’s election this week and the potential for progressive change during the Obama administration.
