Wear red to celebrate Badger Spirit Day this Friday

April 23, 2008 By Kate Dixon

Badger spirit will be on display this Friday as University of Wisconsin–Madison alumni and friends around the world show their support for university.

By wearing spirited red attire on Badger Spirit Day, Friday, April 25, UW–Madison alumni and friends will highlight the valuable role UW grads play in the workforce, in Wisconsin, and in communities around the world.

Badger Spirit Day is sponsored by the Wisconsin Alumni Association. Participants can win prizes by gathering with fellow alumni and friends at work or at play and capturing the moment in a digital photo.

Grand prize categories include: the largest group photo, most creative display of Badger spirit, and furthest geographic location from the UW–Madison campus. All participants will receive a prize.

Badger Spirit Day photos can be submitted to spiritday@uwalumni.com, along with name, address and graduation year, and the names and grad years (if applicable) of everyone in the submitted photo. All photo entries must be received by Friday, May 9, 2008.

On campus, UW students will show their Badger spirit at "Wear Red, Get Fed!" a pizza lunch provided as part of the eighth annual All-Campus Party.
