WAA seeks award nominations

August 27, 2003

The Wisconsin Alumni Association is seeking nominations for awards that honor professional achievement, civic leadership and service to UW–Madison.

The Distinguished Alumni Awards, WAA’s highest honor, are given to graduates whose achievements and service demonstrate the ideals of the university. Past recipients include former U.S. Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger, Broadway actor Andr>= DeShields and U.S. trade representative Charlene Barshefsky. The Distinguished Young Alumni Award highlights the achievements of an outstanding alumnus or alumna under age 40.

Honorees will receive their awards May 7, during Alumni Weekend. The nomination deadline is Oct. 15. Nomination forms: http://uwalumni.com/awards/index.html.
