Voss appointed to head Purchasing Services
Lori Voss has accepted the position of UW–Madison’s director of purchasing services. Voss has been serving as interim purchasing director since August 2016.
“During this interim period, Lori has demonstrated the capacity to effectively lead and address the multiple and varied needs associated with the procurement of goods and services for a large world-class research institution such as ours,” says Associate Vice Chancellor Martha Kerner.
Purchasing Services provides the university with effective and responsive life cycle procurement practices.
Previously, Voss was an assistant director of purchasing services for approximately eight years and, as a result, brings a deep understanding of the UW–Madison campus environment. In addition, she has many years of broad-based professional experience and procurement expertise in both the public and private sectors, including serving as the director of procurement for UW System Administration and as a senior buyer for Rockwell Automation at its headquarters in Milwaukee.
Voss is a graduate of the Wisconsin School of Business and holds a bachelor of business administration degree in Management/Marketing. She will begin as director May 1.
