Video conference to air opinions about UW System, presidential search
A video conference for faculty, staff, and community constituents to share priority issues for the UW System and the qualities sought in a new system president will be held this Thursday, Sept. 12.
The videoconference will be from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., linked on the UW–Madison campus in the Telepresence Room, Room 1145 at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, 333 North Randall Ave.
To help stimulate and guide the discussion, system officials listed a set of questions to consider in preparation for the conference:
- What are the distinctive aspects/dimensions of the UW System?
- What are the key challenges and opportunities facing the UW System over the next five to ten years?
- What is the role and what should be the priorities, specifically for the new president, with respect to that future agenda?
- Given your responses to all of the above, what are the characteristics, skills, and experiences we should be seeking as we search for the new president?
