UW-Madison Police are investigating a series of incidents that occurred in Sellery Residence Hall during the early morning hours of Sept. 21 and are seeking information from the campus community.

A male suspect opened the door of multiple residents’ rooms in the B-Tower but left when the occupants were found awake inside. However the suspect did steal items from other rooms in which the residents had been sleeping.

The suspect is described as white, age 18-20, 5’8” to 5’10”, approximately 160 lbs., short dark brown hair, wearing a black fleece jacket, a white shirt, and blue jeans.

Residents are reminded to lock their doors, especially when sleeping, and to not open or hold open any doors that require an access card or key for entry for someone who does not have that card or key.
