October 27, 2008 By Kiera Wiatrak

The University of Wisconsin–Madison chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society received Gold chapter standing for the 2007-2008 academic year.

At the 2008 Golden Key International Conference in New Orleans, the UW–Madison chapter was recognized for outstanding academic achievements.

Gold chapters are those which achieve the highest reporting standard in the Society.“It is very rewarding to hear about the special achievements of our organizations, especially when they relate to the academic achievement, leadership development, and community service of our students and alumni,” says Chancellor Carolyn “Biddy” Martin.

The Golden Key International Honour Society welcomes members with distinguished academic achievements. Chapters participate in leadership development opportunities, community service and career networking.
The Society also offers scholarships for members.

Over 360 Golden Key campus-based chapters exist worldwide, 281 of which are located in the United States.
