UW Cancer Center forms new partnership in Fox River Valley

An affiliation among Wisconsin’s only comprehensive cancer center and two of the Fox Cities’ leading hospitals will offer a new level of care to the area’s cancer patients.

The partnership brings together the cancer experts and expertise of the UW Comprehensive Cancer Center (UWCCC) and Affinity Health Systems to form UW Cancer Center-Affinity Health Systems. It also provides treatment options and cancer specialists to Affinity patients at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton and Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.

Under the partnership, UWCCC radiation oncologists and other specialists will team with Affinity Medical Group surgeons and medical oncologists from Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology in determining the best possible treatment for each patient. Additionally, patients will have access to UWCCC clinical trials, offering groundbreaking treatment options in cancer care.
