Concrete canoe team wins fifth straight national title

Solinsky wins second consecutive outdoor NCAA 5K title
Senior Chris Solinsky (Stevens Point, Wis.) earned his second consecutive NCAA Outdoor Title in the 5,000 meters Friday night at the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif. Solinsky finished the race in 13:35.12, four seconds in front of the next competitor.

University of Wisconsin–Madison planners are conducting a survey to determine whether faculty and staff are interested in moving closer to campus, cutting commuting times and invigorating the housing market in campus-area neighborhoods.
Ogg Hall reaches end of the line
In a few days, Nick Wiersum will pack up his belongings and leave Ogg Hall, his first home away from home. Wiersum is among the last of tens of thousands of students to live in the two-tower, 13-story residence hall, which will be demolished to make way for green space along the East Campus Mall.
UW-Madison bridge, canoe teams sweep regional competition

Medical device refinements top student design competition
Designed by University of Wisconsin–Madison biomedical engineering students, a device that improves the diagnostic yield of fine-needle aspiration, a sensory-substitution device for hearing impairment, and a magnetic-resonance-compatible device for imaging lower extremities during movement received top honors in the first annual Tong Biomedical Engineering Design Award competition.
