After 13 years, Cadwallader steps down from top research post

Faculty Senate approves research reorganization
The Faculty Senate on Monday approved a reorganization of leadership in the university’s research enterprise, dividing the responsibilities of the dean of the graduate school into two positions – the vice chancellor for research and graduate education and the dean of the Graduate School.
Mailick to join Graduate School
Marsha Mailick, a longtime University of Wisconsin–Madison faculty member and veteran of research leadership roles at the university, has been selected by Chancellor Rebecca Blank as interim successor to Martin Cadwallader, who is returning to the faculty.
