Student Financial Aid director finalists announced
Two finalists for the position of director of student financial aid have been invited for campus visits in the coming week.
The candidates are Nicholas Prewett, director of financial aid at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and Susan M. Teerink, director of financial aid at Marquette University.
Each candidate will give a public presentation on “Current Issues and Priorities within the Financial Aid Landscape” at Gordon Dining and Event Center from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. on the following dates:
Friday, May 20: Susan M. Teerink
Thursday, May 26: Nicholas Prewett

The director serves as the campus authority on federal, state and institutional aid programs and is a participant in the university’s strategic enrollment management planning. In collaboration with campus colleagues, the director leverages limited aid funds to align with student need as well as campus enrollment priorities.
The Office of Student Financial Aid manages federal, state, institutional and private aid sources totaling more than $280 million annually in traditional federal and state funds as well as $198 million in scholarships and assistantships.
The financial aid director reports to Steven Hahn, vice provost for enrollment management.
