Share your commencement moments, photos this weekend

December 16, 2011 By John Lucas

It’s never been easier to share the joy of commencement weekend.

Students, parents and campus units can congratulate grads and document ceremonies and the weekend of activities through an ultra-simple method of sharing photos.

Here’s how it works:

  • Email a photo to winter2011@news.wisc.edu. The image will post to the “Share the Moment” page (and a related UW–Madison Flickr set called Winter Commencement 2011). The subject line will serve as caption.
  • Tweet to the hashtag #UWGrad with a photo from most common Twitter photo services (Yfrog, Twitpic, Lockerz, pic.twitter.com, ow.ly, Instagram.) The photo will upload to the page and the text of the tweet will serve as caption.

All photos will be moderated before automatically posting to the site. The “Share Your Moment” site is mobile optimized to be viewable from phones.

Email socialmedia@uc.wisc.edu if you are experiencing problems with the upload system.

Campus Twitter accounts like @UWMadison will be congratulating grads and interacting all weekend long weekend at the #UWGrad hashtag. Speaker Jake Wood, @badgerjake is also a Twitter user.

Streaming video of the ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday is also available by clicking here.
