Session will air proposed changes to bus routes 81 and 82

April 20, 2011 By

Madison Metro Transit staff will be holding a session at Union South, 1308 W. Dayton St., on Tuesday, April 26, from 7-9 p.m., to present and discuss proposed service changes regarding campus bus routes 81 (UW SAFEride Lakeshore-Johnson) and 82 (UW SAFEride Breese-Broom).

The proposal includes new geographic coverage for both routes 81 and 82 in order to improve route efficiency and better serve customers. The new proposed routes would run at 20-minute intervals in the evenings.

Materials describing the changes will be posted on Metro’s web site soon, officials say.

The proposals would go into effect on Sunday, Aug. 28, and Metro
Transit says they are not related to the state budget or the budget repair bill.

If you plan on attending the session, check Today in the Union (TITU) for the location.

If you can’t attend the session, you may send your comments to mymetrobus@cityofmadison.com. All comments will be reviewed before final changes are designed.
