With the new academic semester already rocking along, hundreds of undergraduates mixed and mingled while enjoying free food, live music and a host of fun activities during the Union South Bash on Friday, Sept. 9. The event — part of a series of Wisconsin Welcome orientation and new student programs — included opportunities for students to pose for photos with UW mascot Bucky Badger, and try their hands at henna tattoos, art projects, billiards and bowling.

Inside Union South’s The Sett, a disc jockey spun a musical beat as undergraduates danced the night away. The night before, a similar Wisconsin Welcome bash was held at the Memorial Union.
