March 16, 2012

A laptop computer provides another resource as students discuss questions and answers in small groups during an open test in an undergraduate zoology class taught by David Abbott, professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the School of Medicine and Public Health.

Abbott developed the exercise as a way to encourage students to refine their analytical thinking and increase interaction with fellow students, the teaching assistant and the instructor in a large, lecture-hall setting.
