Power plant reports available to the public

Two separate reports that analyze the effects of the proposed West Campus Cogeneration Facility on the UW–Madison campus are available online.

A Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the project has been issued by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin and is the subject of a 45-day public comment period that ends April 25. The draft statement and instructions on how to comment are available online.

The Department of Administration has also finished its analysis of the 150-megawatt cogeneration facility along with two alternative options: a 45-megawatt facility owned and operated by state and university; and a heating plant expansion with no electric generating capacity.
