Order tickets now for Tudor dinners

November 19, 2008

The Memorial Union will hold the 75th annual Tudor Holiday Dinner Concerts next month, and tickets are now available.

Enjoy a night of fine dining, old English pageantry and choral presentations by the Philharmonic Chorus of Madison, under the direction of Patrick Gorman.

The dinner will include a beef tenderloin (vegetarian option: curried vegetable paella), hash brown potatoes and flaming figgy pudding.

The program starts at 5:45 p.m. in the Memorial Union’s Main Lounge with a wassail bowl and hors d’oeuvres. The event moves into the Great Hall at 6:45 p.m., with the presentation of the boar’s head (a Tudor tradition), a grand processional and caroling, strolling minstrels and the figgy pudding ceremonial.

Tudor dinners will be held Wednesday-Sunday, Dec. 3-7, and Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 9 and 10. Order tickets online. For more information, visit the program Web site or call 262-2201.
