‘Office Hours’ provides update on the stimulus plan and the economy

March 2, 2010

Two experts from the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Business will discuss the state of the economy on “Office Hours” Tuesday on the Big Ten Network.

UW-Madison real estate and urban economics professors Morris Davis and Stephen Malpezzi join host Ken Goldstein, a UW–Madison political scientist, to assess the national stimulus package and its implications on the economy. Davis has previously served on the senior staff of the Federal Reserve Board, and Malpezzi has worked as an economist at the World Bank and is also the current director of the American Real Estate and Urban Economic Association.

The show airs on the network at 2 p.m. CST.

“Office Hours” invites guests from many areas of the UW–Madison campus to share their work with viewers across the country. Past episodes have touched on subjects including the economy, evolution, the common cold and stem cell research.

The show is produced by University Communications, and additional production help and writing comes from students in Goldstein’s upper-level class on political communication.
