Northern Ireland leader speaks

Anne Gallagher, a prominent leader in the Northern Ireland peace movement, will speak in the Wisconsin Union Theater on Monday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m.

She will talk on “Seeing the Humanity in the Face of the Enemy: Toward Peace and Forgiveness in Northern Ireland.” Through her Seeds of Hope organization in Belfast, Gallagher has brought Catholic and Protestant prisoners together for mutual understanding and respect. Robert Enright, a professor in the Department of Educational Psychology who is known for his research on forgiveness, was instrumental in bringing Gallagher to Madison. Free tickets will be available at the Wisconsin Union Box Office beginning Monday, Feb. 18, or send a request via e-mail to boebel@education.wisc.edu.
