February 12, 2013 By Mary Lock Albrecht

In addition to attending classes and doing homework, many returning adult students are also juggling children, jobs, community work and other responsibilities.

Each year the Office of Adult Career and Special Student Services recognizes two adult students with the Outstanding Undergraduate Returning Adult Student Award. The nomination deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15.

Two winners and three finalists are selected for this cash award. They are selected for their exceptional determination, perseverance, leadership and service to the community.

UW-Madison faculty, staff, students, or members of the community may submit nominations.  It’s easy and quick–you only need the student’s name and your contact information. To learn more and to nominate someone go to http://continuingstudies.wisc.edu/advising/adultstudent-award.htm
