New Chadbourne food venue features kosher offerings

January 30, 2008

University Housing Food Service invites faculty and staff to visit its newly remodeled venue in Chadbourne Hall, named “Rheta’s.”

The marketplace-style serving area offers multiple stations where selections are made to order, presenting a wide range of choices every day. There is a rotisserie oven, flat-top Mongolian grill, open-flame barbecue and popular homemade pizza baked on site in Chadbourne.

One of the stations in Rheta’s is a brand-new feature for UW–Madison: a kosher station, with all kosher foods prepared on site in the newly constructed kitchen that is supervised by a Mashgiach. Many selections are made to order, and all items are a la carte. There is also a convenience grocery store called “Now or Later” that is located adjacent to the seating area.

Faculty and staff are welcome to eat in Rheta’s any time as a cash customer, using cash or a Wiscard Campus Cash account. The dining room is located on the first floor. A “cash meal deal” lunch special for les than $5 is offered daily. Selections vary — visit  the Rheta’s Web site for daily menu, hours and nutrition details.
