Mini-Med School opens

September 6, 2002

Ever wonder what your doctor learned in medical school? If so, the Medical School‘s mini-medical school may be for you. Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 17, the free, six-week lecture series will be held Tuesdays, 7-8:30 p.m., Union South.

Distinguished UW Medical School faculty will present easy-to-understand information on heart disease, cancer, asthma, infectious diseases and clinical research for adults of all ages.

The only prerequisites for the program are a sense of curiosity and an interest in general health education. Pfizer, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, sponsors the mini-medical school program.
