Linden Drive closure planned beginning Aug. 18

August 13, 2010 By

Utility work for the School of Human Ecology’s renovation and expansion project will require the closing of Linden Drive in front of the Nutritional Sciences Building.

Consequently, the street wil be closed from Charter Street to Babcock Drive beginning Wednesday, Aug. 18, and it is expected to reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 25, weather permitting.

All through traffic, including campus and Madison Metro buses, will be detoured onto Observatory Drive between Charter and Babcock. There will be a temporary westbound stop at Liz Waters Residence Hall and eastbound buses will stop at the corner of Observatory and Charter.

During most of that week, access to Lorch Street and the eastern end of the Nutritional Sciences driveway will be maintained.

Access to the Middleton Building and the State Laboratory of Hygiene will not be affected. Access to lots 21, 23, 28, and 30 will be maintained for permit holders who park there.

More information on campus road construction and detours can be found here.
