Letters and Science commencement reception set

December 12, 2002

On Sunday, Dec. 22, more than 800 degrees will be awarded to College of Letters and Science graduates, and the Wisconsin Alumni Association and the College of Letters and Science are commemorating the occasion with a special graduation reception.

Set to begin at 12:30 p.m., the reception will take place in the Nicholas Johnson Pavilion at the Kohl Center, and offer refreshments and photo opportunities for students, parents, and College of Letters and Science faculty and staff. The event will also include a short welcome from Phillip R. Certain, dean of the College of Letters and Science, and Paula Bonner, president and CEO of WAA.

“The Wisconsin Alumni Association and the College of Letters and Science are pleased to host this celebration,” says Bonner. “In addition to creating a festive atmosphere before the commencement ceremonies, it provides an opportunity for faculty to personally wish their students well and for us to welcome them into the Wisconsin Alumni Association family.”

Students and parents wishing to attend the reception can RSVP online at http://uwalumni.com/lscommencement through Monday, Dec. 16.
