Two receive presidential honors for research
Two university professors have received the nation's highest honor bestowed upon scientists in the early stages of their careers. Susan Hagness, an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering; and Jenny Saffran, an assistant professor of psychology; were among 59 faculty honored during a White House ceremony today, Oct. 24, with 2000 Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers.
