Dan Edlebeck has been named interim university registrar, Vice Provost for Enrollment Management Joanne Berg recently announced.
Edlebeck, former registrar at UW-Whitewater, will begin on Feb. 1 with a yearlong appointment.
Berg, who has served as registrar since 2002 and as vice provost since 2004, will focus full-time on her leadership duties in the Division of Enrollment Management.
The Division of Enrollment Management will recruit and hire a new registrar to begin in 2011.
Edlebeck has played key leadership roles around the UW System and with numerous System initiatives. Prior to his work at UW-Whitewater, Edlebeck also worked as registrar and director of academic advisement at UW-Oshkosh.
“Dan is wonderfully smart, fun and cares deeply about the work he does and the people that work with him,” Berg says. “He’s an amazing leader, and we’re very fortunate to have him join us. Dan’s experience, his leadership style, knowledge and overall demeanor will be an asset to the office and to the entire campus community.”
