Information on tonight’s Barack Obama rally

People planning to attend this evening’s Barack Obama “Stand for Change” rally at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Kohl Center, expected to begin at approximately 8 p.m., should heed several important details related to the event:

Entry: The first 2,000 attendees will be admitted into the Nicholas Johnson Pavilion and will be seated in the Kohl Center nearest to the stage. After the 2,000 attendees gain admittance, the remaining attendees will enter through Gate B, which will open at 6 p.m. Gates A and C will not be used for this event. The event is free and no tickets are required. Those planning to attend are asked to dress warmly in the event of long lines. Seating is first come, first served, so it is recommended that attendees arrive early.

What to bring: For safety and security reasons, there are certain items that are prohibited inside the Kohl Center, including laptop computers, backpacks and large bags or large purses. In addition, no posters of any size will be permitted inside. Cameras and video cameras will be permitted inside. Security checks will be conducted before attendees are allowed to enter.

Parking: Normal Kohl Center event parking will be in effect for $5 per vehicle.
