Housing video honored

The Division of University Housing has received a first-place award for its “New Employee Orientation Video” from the Public Relations Society of America-Madison Chapter.

The award, given in October in the category of Internal Relationship Building, is one of the organization’s Alchemy Awards for Excellence in Strategic Communication. The annual contest, open to any Wisconsin-based professional communicator, recognizes “the melding of creative thought, sound strategy, effective execution and evaluation.”

The 14-minute video showcases University Housing staff and facilities and is shown each month to the division’s new employees.

Staff who helped to create the video include Alice Gustafson, assistant director of University Housing, executive producer; and Keri Robbins, University Housing Marketing, and Brian Fusie, University Housing Human Resources, associate producers.

Serving on the Housing Staff Advisory Committee were Larry Davis, Karen Hublou, Bryony Mander, Cheryl Mekschun, Kim Meyers, Susan Olson, John Palmer, Debb Schaubs and Howard Ward.
