November 28, 2007 By Kate Dixon

It’s official: Wisconsin is heading to the Outback Bowl, and the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) bowl tour will take fans to Tampa, Fla. in true Badger style.

The WAA Outback Bowl tour is open to all University of Wisconsin alumni, friends and families. WAA tours include a game ticket in the Wisconsin section, admission to the official UW pre-game tailgate, the BADGER BLAST/HUDDLE, and invitations to celebrate with other Badger fans at welcome events and an exclusive New Year’s Eve event.

WAA offers the only bowl tours that include around-the-clock customer service and an on-site UW hospitality desk staffed by travel professionals, as well as deluxe accommodations, and transportation to and from the game. WAA is an official travel partner of UW Athletics.

"Our tours offer a first-class experience for any Badger fan, whether you’ve traveled with us before, or if this will be your first WAA trip," says Paula Bonner, WAA President and CEO. "Travel with WAA and you can expect a great game, a fun vacation and a New Year’s celebration full of Badger spirit."

The Deluxe Red Tour includes four nights of accommodations at the Marriott Waterside from Dec. 29, 2007 to Jan. 2, 2008, round-trip charter air service from Madison and Milwaukee, and a special New Year’s Eve Event with dinner, drinks and entertainment. Deluxe air-and-land tour packages start at $1,737 per person; deluxe land-only packages start at $1,012 per person.

Travelers may also choose the Badger Tour, which includes a two-night stay at The Renaissance Tampa Hotel International Plaza from Dec. 31, 2007 to Jan. 2, 2008. Land-only package rates start at $455 per person.

All WAA travelers will receive exclusive souvenirs and have a chance to win grand prize travel packages and daily prize drawings during the trip.
