Accidental Death and Dismemberment

The Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) plan is a voluntary insurance plan available to most UW–Madison employees.

Zurich Travel Assist is a comprehensive travel assistance program offering benefits and services when you travel 100 miles or more from your residence. Services provided include medical, information, legal and personal assistance and are available 24 hours a day, every day.

How do I sign up for this service?

You must carry Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance. If you already carry AD&D, then the new travel service was automatically added Jan. 1 at no additional cost to you.

If you do not carry AD&D, then you can sign up at any time (there are no enrollment deadlines).

Coverage is effective the first of the month following the date the application is submitted.

Premiums, coverage levels and forms are available at Payroll and Benefits Services AD&D Insurance.
