Direct deposit of tuition refunds to begin in spring

January 22, 2013

UW–Madison students can have their tuition refunds directly deposited to personal savings or checking accounts beginning in the spring term, the Bursar’s Office has announced.

The eRefunds are a convenient option for students to receive reimbursements. Tuition refunds can result from a student receiving a financial aid allotment that exceeds the amount of tuition owed, or from a reduction in tuition due to a dropped class, term withdrawal, or residency change.

Students can enroll for direct deposit by logging on to the UW–Madison Student Center and clicking on “eRefund Management” under the “My Account.” For more information, go to http://www.bussvc.wisc.edu/bursar/qryerefund.html.

Starting with the spring semester, eRefunds will be processed daily, while checks will be processed only on Thursdays.

Only student refunds are available for eRefunds; Parent PLUS refunds will continue to be sent via check.
