Clinton to hold Monday event at Gordon

March 27, 2016

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will hold an event on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus on Monday afternoon.

The event, to be held at Gordon Dining & Events Center, is being ticketed by the Clinton campaign and is not open to the campus community or public.

Both Democratic and Republican candidates are crisscrossing the state in advance of the April 5 Wisconsin primary. Per UW policy, each candidate may hold one event on campus each election.

Related to the event, Lake Street will be closed to traffic between Dayton Street and Johnson Street beginning around noon and after approximately 3 p.m. to pedestrians. Restrictions will end following the event.

The first floor dining area of Gordon will remain open all day Monday. Due to the security and logistics related to the event, second floor seating areas will be closed until the conclusion of the event.

In addition, basketball courts adjacent to Sellery Hall will likely be reserved for event parking and media.
