Badgers reach NCAA title match

Wisconsin will meet Nebraska Saturday, Dec. 16 in the title game of the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship at 2:30 p.m. in Richmond, Va. The Badgers (33-3) coached by Pete Waite, will take on the Cornhuskers (33-0), coached by former Wisconsin Coach John Cook.

ESPN2 will carry the match live and WTSO Radio AM 1070 will broadcast the game locally.

A welcome home ceremony for team is planned for Sunday, Dec. 17, at 5:30 p.m. in the UW Field House.

Doors for the free event will open at 5 p.m. The ceremony will feature the record-setting Badger women’s volleyball team and staff. This is the first trip to the volleyball final four in school history.
